AARON Wilson from City of Salisbury recorded a personal best time after scooping first place in new Perform 5 mile Ageas road race on the outskirts of Southampton.
His time of 27 minutes and 36 seconds ensured top spot at the distance.
Phil Perry also ran well to stop the clock at 35.50 and Mel Holloway, who was acting as pacer for slower runners, crossed the line in 46.52.
On the smooth, fast roads of the Berlin marathon, Nick Hudson made a good debut at the 26mile challenge, recording 3hours 41min 10sec.
Closer to home at the Winchester half marathon, Mike White came away with another personal best of 91min 15sec. Michael Warren clocked 102.18 with Stuart Holloway in training mode at 2.04.
In the Frome seven mile multi-terrain event, Ian Shelley was tenth in 51.19.
