ASHFORD United have been confirmed as Salisbury's quarter-final opponents in the FA Vase.

The Kent side booked their place in the last eight of the competition after staging a dramatic comeback in their fifth round replay at Dunston UTS on Saturday.

Steven Richardson put Dunston ahead after 30 minutes and the lead was doubled when Mal Morien’s strike deflected into the back of the net.

But Dunston, who won the competition in 2012, were reduced to 10 men when substitute Stephen Goddard saw red just a minute after coming on and assistant manager Shaun Welford soon pulled one back for Ashford to set up a hectic finish.

Michael Phillips popped up to level the scores three minutes from the end and the fightback was complete in the 93rd minute when Ryan Palmer sent in a low cross and Dan Smith prodded the ball into his own net.

Ashford, managed by Danny Lye and are chasing promotion from Southern Counties East League, make the trip to Old Sarum a week Saturday (February 20).

The Whites reached the last eight after Sam Wilson bagged a hat-trick in a 3-0 win at Nuneaton Griff.

The winner will pick up £2,500 in prize money and reach the two-legged semi-final to be played on March 5 and 12.

Sixth round draw:

SALISBURY v Ashford
