SECOND-PLACED Amesbury Town reiterated their promotion ambitions with an 8-0 mauling of Andover New Street.
Blues were back to their best with the one-sided result which saw them register a fifth straight victory in Sydenhams Wessex Division One.
The demolition began in the first half with Danny Finnigan bursting the hosts into a 1-0 lead before partner-in-crime Nic Turpin got on the scoresheet nine minutes before the interval.
Then a second half blitz, from Cameron Roach, Finnigan, Luke Walker (2), Alex Oakman and a Tyler Brockway penalty left Andover in tatters.
Andover look to avenge the humiliation in Salisbury Hospital Cup on Wednesday (October 14).
