A FEARLESS group of paintballers reclaimed the Southern Paintball League (SPL) with final day victory.

Salisbury Cardinals defended the title at Bricket Wood, London with five wins and a further ten points, keeping their unbeaten record intact.

On their way to glory, they chalked up 20 unanswered wins and two 5-0 maulings of the GB squad, who were silver medallists at the European Championship in St Tropez.

During September, Cardinals seconds team also saw success by claiming promotion to the National League Division 2 to join the firsts.

"This year has been an extremely successful year for the club, seeing two of the teams gaining Great Britain caps, the firsts retaining their SPL crown and both teams gaining promotion in the National Leagues," said player Richard Southgate.

"During the winter season, we won't be resting on our laurels.

"Working, training hard, developing our newer players while undertaking simultaneous winter leagues with the intention of making a dent in the European circuit.
