THIRD place topped off a super tournament for Katy Cutler while representing her region.
The South West waterpolo team came up against four teams in the ASA Inter Regional Waterpolo Under-16 girls tournament at the Aquatics Centre, Liverpool.
Bouncing back from a fourth place finish last year was crucial to the side's plans.
A defeat to North West Thunder and victory over Ireland 15-8 left them in a steady position approaching the final day.
Beating last year's winners, North East, 10-3, left them needing a win over favourites North West Lightning for silver or a victory by a two-goal margin for gold.
But the grand finale ended in a 14-goal thriller (7-7), which saw the sides share the spoils as South West earned a bronze medal.
