A PINNACLE event is on the calendar at one Salisbury racetrack for what promises to be a compelling weekend of racing.

The 2015 Avon Tyres/TTC Group MSA British Hillclimb Championship (BHC) is well poised to create some fascinating battles at Gurston Down Speed Hillclimb, with new driver pairings this season in some of the shared cars.

Reigning British Hillclimb champion and outright hill record holder at Gurston Down, Scott Moran, from Shropshire, is currently in third place overall having missed one event in Northern Ireland but he has scored three ‘Run Off’ wins in other events.

His new driving partner Alex Summers from Worcestershire currently tops the table through well-placed consistency without securing a win.

As well as the action among the very fastest cars and drivers in the land, there will be battles in all 26 classes, with over 135 entries received for this prestigious meeting, many of whom are also entered in the class-based Avon Tyres/TTC Group MSA Hillclimb Leaders Championship.

Car parking is free all weekend.

Admission on Saturday is £6 and £10 on Sunday. Accompanied under-15s go for free.
