NEWLY-PROMOTED Amesbury Kings Arms got their season off to a flying start with a 4-1 victory away to Cedars FC.

Jon Murphy opened the scoring early on with a close range finish, but Cedars managed to draw level just before half time.

Murphy was involved again as Amesbury restored their lead after he was brought down in the penalty area and Nick Voce tucked away the resulting penalty.

Danny Goodall’s thunderbolt strike from outside the box extended the lead and Jack Rowlands marked a man of the match display in Salisbury and District Premier League with a well-deserved goal late on.
