Lawes' artistic journey began in Salisbury, where he attended Bishop Wordsworth’s School before completing a foundation diploma in art at Bournemouth and then a BA in printed textiles and surface pattern design at Leeds Arts University.

Jonathan is also a talented screen printer. He creates bright, colourful abstract pieces which reflect his love of geometry, shape and pattern.

The exhibition title, Full Circle, is a reference to the show representing something of a homecoming for Jonathan.

Vanner Gallery director, David Christie, said: "We could not be more excited about this show with Jonathan.

"I have been an admirer of his work for a long time and when Jonathan came to an artists’ talk we had last Summer, it seemed the perfect opportunity to talk about working together.

"We are especially pleased to offer two beautiful prints by Jonathan in small editions which will be exclusive to the gallery."

Jonathan Lawes' exhibition, Full Circle, will take place from March 29 to April 27.
