Success for Salisbury student's exhibition at London Fashion week

Lewis Stratton, a final year fashion image making and styling student studying at the University of Salford, showcased his work at 15 Bateman Street, in the capital, on February 17.

Shot in the Agafay Desert during a university trip to Marrakesh, Mr Stratton was invited to capture collections designed by masters graduates.

His project, RAK, which symbolises the city's airport code and doubles as an acronym for a 'random act of kindness', received a huge amount of positive feedback.

But the opportunity did not end there for Mr Stratton - he brought his camera along to a few additional shows which he said has "boosted things massively" for his career.

Mr Stratton, who was born in Salisbury, previously said he had faced "endless hurdles" while finding his way into the fashion world but hopes his work can inspire young people to chase their dreams.

"Before I moved to Manchester I was studying a course that didn’t interest me in the slightest down in Bournemouth, so to have turned my career around and to be doing something that I love is incredibly rewarding," he explained.
