A PIANIST who participated in the wedding of Princess Eugenie in 2018 is returning to his former Salisbury school to help raise funds for the Pipe Dreams appeal.
Peter Roper-Curzon began his musical journey as a chorister at Salisbury Cathedral School and returns for a charity piano recital taking place in February.
Peter rose to prominence as a virtuoso pianist and his accolades include being a finalist in the 1996 BBC Young Musician of the Year competition, serving as Organ Scholar at LMH College in Oxford and taking on the role of Director of Music at St John’s, in Notting Hill.
Interim Head of Salisbury Cathedral School, Sophie Baber, said: "Welcoming back an artist of Peter's calibre is truly special. His dedication to his craft and his roots at our school are inspirational.
“We are honoured to have him contribute to our charitable cause."

Peter also contributed to the world of composition, creating a ballet, piano pieces and two Requiem Masses commissioned and completed in 2016.
The programme includes Beethoven - Sonata No. 21 in C (Waldstein), Bach / Busoni, Schubert – Impromptus, Chopin – Waltzes, Chopin Sonata No. 3 in B Minor Op. 58.
The event will be held in the Big School Room (BSR) at Salisbury Cathedral School on Thursday, February 1 at 7.30pm. The aim is to raise funds for the Pipe Dreams appeal supporting the Griffiths Chapel Organ Scholarships.
