THE over 70s and patients in younger high risk groups will be next to receive the Covid vaccine in Fordingbridge.
The vaccinations are being carried out by the Avon Valley Primary Care Network, which is made up of Fordingbridge Surgery, Ringwood Medical Centre, Cornerways Medical Centre in Ringwood and Twin Oaks Surgery in Bransgore, at the Fordingbridge Hospital site.
A post on the Fordingbridge Surgery Facebook page said the vaccination programme was going "really well" but urged patients not to call their surgeries about the vaccination and wait to be contacted.
The post said: "The Covid Vaccine programme is going really well. For the next 10 days the Avon Valley PCN will be vaccinating patients aged over 70 years and those in younger age groups at the highest risk at the Fordingbridge Hospital site.
"Once again we ask you not to call to check when you will receive your vaccination. There is more information and FAQs on our website https://www.fordingbridgegps.co.uk/covid-19-vaccination-faqs
"Please wait for us to contact you to invite you to book your vaccination. You may receive an SMS with a link to book your appointment. If you do not have a smart phone then do please call if the link doesn't take you to the appointment booking form."
