A FURNITURE store celebrated its arrival in the city by commissioning an animal cake sculpture.
Oak Furniture Land, which has just opened in a new building on the Southampton Road Retail Park, donated the cake to Wiltshire Wildlife Animal Hospital to support the centre's fundraising summer fayre.
City Mayor Derek Brown and animal hospital fundraiser Sarah Watson opened the store on Saturday, August 6. It has created seven jobs.
Store manager Jason Beal said: “This is our first store in Salisbury, and we are delighted to be here.
"It was great having the Mayor of Salisbury officially open the store, and welcome customers through the door.”
The cake was auctioned to raise funds for the hospital at its annual summer fayre.
