Two women were arrested after a drugs raid in Salisbury.

Officers executed a warrant at a home in Gigant Street at 8am on Wednesday.

A quantity of drugs and cash were discovered inside.

A 22-year-old woman and a 17-year-old girl were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A and B drugs.

They have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

PC Tracey Holloway said: "Drugs have a negative impact on our communities and will often lead to anti-social behaviour, violence and other crimes as drug users desperately try to fund their habit.

"As the community beat manager for the area, I would like to reassure the public that I am committed to tackling drug dealing in our community and we will do all that we can to ensure those people intent on committing this type of crime are dealt with appropriately and justice is done.

"We would encourage anyone who suspects drug activity in their area to contact police via 101."
