A MAN headbutted an innocent bystander after he was challenged about punching a car wing mirror in Barnard Street.
The attacker is described as being in his 20s and was seen to be arguing with a woman at around 1.45pm on Sunday.
He punched the car wing mirror before the victim in his 40s questioned his behaviour. The man then headbutted him leaving the victim with a chipped tooth and a black eye before fleeing to Culver Street car park.
The man is described as aged in his late teens to early 20s, with short brown hair, of slim build, wearing a white t-shirt and blue tracksuit bottoms. He was carrying a paper shopping bag.
The woman is described as aged in her late teens to early 20s, of slim build with dark coloured hair in a bob, wearing a purple top and black trousers or leggings.
Wiltshire Police ask anyone who witnessed the attack to call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be left anonymously.
