ACTORS, particularly men, are needed for Coombe Bissett and Homington Drama Club’s spring play.
Auditions take place on February 23 in Coombe Bissett Village Hall at 7.30pm.
Playwright Chris Chelu has written his third play, Menu for Change, which he hopes to direct for performances on May 6 and 7. It is set in a seedy cafe and there are three male and three female roles.
He said: “It certainly is difficult to get folk, in particular, younger men, interested in doing amateur dramatics these days. People seem to have less leisure time.
"Back in the 1970s nearly every village along the Chalke Valley had a drama club. Now Coombe Bissett and Homington Drama Club is possibly the only one left doing productions every year.”
