MAKING a Christmas wreath is easier than you might think. It is just a question of collecting a some garden greenery, berries and suitable plant life, then putting it in the right place - or at least that's what it seems when Salisbury expert Kate Robinson gets to work.
Journal photographer Tom Gregory captured the art of putting together this special festive decoration in Kate's workshop.
Kate, who takes about 30 minutes to assemble the wreath, said there was something theraputic about the whole exercise and to prove it she will be holding a wreath-making workshop, 10th December at The Eizabethan Barn, Fittleton Manor,10.30am -1pm.
She said: "Before the Christmas rush takes hold, slow down, take a morning out to indulge your inner creative."
Kate said she is sure she can teach people to make a wreath to be proud of. There is a charge for the workshop, which includes all materials, coffee, mulled wine, mince pies and a mug of homemade soup.
She said people can buy a place on the course as a present or bring a friend and enjoy a social morning in the Christmassy atmosphere of the beautiful Elizabethan barn at Fittleton.
The barn is a rare example of a wonderfully historic tithe barn which has been lovingly restored. It is not open to the public.
