DRIVERS are being warned not to put lives at risk by jumping red lights.

This comes after two incidents in the last couple of weeks at the traffic lights at the Hampshire Cross junction in Tidworth.

Police say a man was reported for careless driving after running the lights last Wednesday.

And two weeks ago, a woman was stopped by officers and given words of advice.

Sergeant Andrea Faircloth said: “The dangers of running red lights are well known and are high contributors towards serious and fatal road traffic collisions.

“It’s never worth risking your life and the lives of others just to save the odd minute off your journey by driving through a red light.”
