IT's the last day of the Charter Fair today (Wednesday).

The funfair started on Sunday, a day earlier than in recent years as a celebration of 125 years of the Showmen’s Guild Western Section. It is open until late.

The fair involves traditional and modern rides, stalls and attractions, and this year’s new attractions are Stargate and Crazy Cage.

In 1227 King Henry III granted a charter to the Bishop of Salisbury to hold a fair on the third Monday in October, and the fair is still held every year.

The fair is offering 50p off vouchers to people for all the rides, which can be used all day. Vouchers are available from Salisbury Information Centre.
