TOOLS worth more than £13,000 were stolen from three trade vans in Quidhampton on September 13.

The vans were parked and securely locked on September 12 and police believe the thefts may have taken place at about 3am the following morning.

Numerous power tools and associated pieces of equipment were stolen from the vans, including drills, wrenches, disc cutters and nail guns.

A mobile phone, hands-free system and pair of sunglasses were also stolen from the vehicles.

Wiltshire Police have issued the following security advice: • Make sure all doors and windows are locked when you have parked your vehicle • Don’t be tempted to leave anything in your vehicle, including tools, wallet, electrical goods or shopping, even if you are only away from it for a short time • If you regularly use electronic devices which have sucker mounted brackets that attach to the windscreen, ensure you wipe away the marks • Even when you are at home, make sure your vehicle is securely locked • Register your sat navs, car radios, tools and other property for free at immobilise.com to make it easier to be reunited with you property if it is stolen Anyone with information is asked to contact Wiltshire Police 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
