CYCLISTS are being urged to sign up for a bike ride through the Wiltshire countryside to raise funds for Horatio’s Garden at Salisbury District Hospital.

The therapy garden, designed by Cleve West, is for patients at the Duke of Cornwall Spinal Treatment Centre and it was built in memory of Horatio Chapple, who died in 2011 at the age of 17.

The ride will take place on September 21 and will start and finish in Horatio’s Garden, with a choice of 50, 25 or one mile routes aimed at all ages and fitness levels.

The ride will take in scenery through the Chalke Valley and will include a few gentle hills.

Riders must be at least 14 years old and groups of up to six 14 to 17-year-olds must be accompanied by one adult.

Registration for the 50 and 25-mile routes costs £35 and the one-mile route is free.
