RINGWOOD Art Society’s 48th Summer Exhibition is in full swing and continues until Bank Holiday Monday.

It is at Greyfriars, 44 Christchurch Road.

The overall winning painting was ‘I do love to be beside the seaside’ by Suzan Houching and ‘Rainy day at St Mark’s Square’ by John Collins won the Ann Rose trophy, which was voted for by the members and guests at the private view of the exhibition. 

It is open 10am to 4.45pm Monday to Saturday, and 1pm to 5pm Sunday. 
Entry is free. 

The club meets monthly on a Monday night from 7pm with talks and demonstrations by professional artists.

On September 19 the society will have artist Lindsey Cole demonstrating pastels and on October 17 Penny Crichton-Seager will be demonstrating watercolour portraits from photographs.

New members are always welcome.
