ELECTRONIC whiteboards are soon to be installed in wards at Salisbury District Hospital.
The aim of the £559,000 project is to improve patient flow and discharge planning.
The hospital plans to install the electronic whiteboards next week, replacing the physical whiteboards in current use.
The whiteboards are used on wards to track patient plans and progress.
A hospital spokesman said: "The electronic whiteboards will update themselves when a patient is transferred, record more information and make it easier for staff and relatives to locate patients within the hospital.
"New 55 inch screens will replace most of the current boards which will show plans and progress for patients at a glance and provide easy to use touch-screen updates."
Funding has come from the NHS England Nursing Technology Fund.
